Polishes

Wax emulsions are used in polishes like for example floor-, furniture- and  car polishes to improve the following surface properties:

  • Scratch resistance
  • Gloss & matting
  • Buffability
  • Hydrophobicity
  • Black heel & fingermarking resistance

Because of their low melting point, Carnauba, Paraffin and Beeswax emulsions are mostly used in car- and furniture polishes whereas higher melting wax emulsions based on PE and PP are used in floor care polishes.
